I would have given this sofa a 1 star if I paid more for it, but the truth is I scoured the internet for a good looking modern outdoor sofa and this was the cheapest set I could find that seats 4 and has a table included. Yes, YOU REALLY DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. There are some good things about this sofa, but overall I am very unhappy with it.Shipping/Assembly:This sofa was packaged and shipped very well. There was plenty of packing material, all parts were well secured in the boxes, and the majority of the frame was already pre-assembled. All you have to do to put this together is attach the arms to the seat and back frames, it couldn't be easier. As some others mentioned the screws can cause the wood to split, I don't think it is as much that you have to drill out the holes I just think they are wide screws and the frame is thin and very lightweight. Overall the assembly was very easy which is good.Materia/Build:The wood is very lightweight and thin, while this is good for shipping and moving the sofa once built, it feels very cheap. After sitting in it only a few times I can feel the wood flex when I sit, I doubt this will hold up for very long. I didn't measure but it looks like the frame is mostly 1"x3" and the arms are 1"x4". As mentioned the wood did split in a few places during assembly and over time I expect this to wear and probably break. I am 5'10" and weigh 185, and I have 3 kids that will be rough with this. Overall I think the quality and durability of this sofa is poor.Comfort/Cushions:The first thing about this frame that you notice is the back rest is at a 90 degree angle to the bench, there is no angle or recline to the back rest at all. If you look at the couch in your house, or any well built sofa, there is about a 15 degree recline making the angle on the backrest about 105 degrees from the bench. When you sit on this sofa you notice it, it is not comfortable.The cushions are extremely lightweight and cheap. While the bottom cushions measure 4" thick, they collapse as soon as you sit in them and your back of your legs dig into the frame below. The back cushions are about 3" thick, they too are not comfortable when you lean back. You will feel the top of the back rest dig into your back through the cushion. The back cushions also constantly fall forward or blow off the couch with the slightest breeze. Again they are cheap and lightweight, and with the backrest being straight up the cushions fall forward. The cushions also do not include ties to attach them to the frame that you see in better quality outdoor furniture. I read a few other people complain of this and some tried velcro, I did as well but it does not stick to the cushion material so it did not work for me. I could sew on fabric ties, but that is a lot of work and i have little experience sewing.With just a little effort the manufacturer could have made some very small adjustments that would not cost much if anything to fix that would make this a much better value. A lot of other reviews say it looks great, which I would agree with except my cushions are always scattered across the sofa which does not look good so I can't agree. I will likely either return this or sell it on OfferUp, it's not worth keeping. In hindsight I should have either spent a few hundred dollars more, or just made it myself. Lesson learned.If you have a very tight budget and simply cannot afford more, this set may work for you. But I am a very budget conscious shopper and find many great values, this sofa is so bad I can't even make due with it. If you really like the look you will probably see the other 4 and 5 star reviews and buy it anyway, but my guess is you will regret that decision.Really happy with this purchase! Very easy to put together and I love the color of the wood and cushions! The one thing I don’t love it that the cushions don’t have a tie to keep in place to the pallet so they fall/slip often. I will have to buy Velcro to try to keep them in place. The cushions definitely are not super comfortable but I don’t mind, I’m sure over time they will soften! Overall I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend!The back seat cushions are flimsy and slide down so you’re leaning against the frame. I’m going to sew ties on the backs to try and get them to stay up. The frame is small with a low back so doesn’t provide much to relax on. I’ll likely buy a new one in a year or two.This set looks great and the wood is beautiful..no complaints there. However the cushions are pretty awful. The ones on the seat are too hard, and the back pillows are incredibly flimsy. You can feel the wood of the couch when you lean back against them. They are also not even close to being waterproof and take at least a week to dry out if they get wet. We considered returning this couch, but after 3 hours of assembly decided it wasn't worth it and bought a bunch of throw pillows instead to try to make it more comfortable.I like the set but it sits a little to low for me. We’re going to buy matching wood and raise 2 inches. Not real comfortable but for the purpose it works on our patio. Husband says was easy to put together, seems sturdy and cushions are good quality. For the price this was a good buy.This patio set is ok - not super comfortable and a bit smaller than we thought. Assembly was pretty easy although a couple screws stripped and we had to use our own. Wish it had one more seat on the side. Probably would not have purchased if we would have sat on it beforehand.Cheap materials, some parts were broke when shipped and was a hassle to get those parts shipped to us from vendor. Pads are super thin and uncomfortable to sit on for more than 10 minutes. Vendor was unpleasant to work with.
